Hair Allocation FAQ
HAIR ALLOCATION FAQ
What is hair allocation?
Hair allocation means our collections are released in limited, controlled batches rather than mass-produced. Each unit is intentionally sourced and reserved to maintain texture consistency, longevity, and quality standards.
Why does R31nvented Hair use allocation instead of constant restocks?
We prioritize quality over volume. Allocation allows us to:
- Preserve sourcing integrity
- Avoid over-processing
- Maintain consistent textures across orders
- Ensure hair lasts up to 2 years with proper care
This model protects the long-term value of your investment.
Is allocated hair already in stock?
Allocated hair is secured within a scheduled release batch. Once your order is placed, your unit is reserved specifically for you within that allocation window.
Will my order be delayed because of allocation?
No. Allocation does not mean delays or uncertainty.
It means your order is fulfilled according to the defined release schedule associated with that batch.
What happens if an allocation sells out?
Once an allocation sells out:
- That batch is closed
- The next release opens based on sourcing availability
- Availability is not increased based on demand
Can allocation change my texture, length, or quality?
No. Allocation ensures:
- Texture accuracy
- Length consistency
- No substitutions or rushed sourcing
What you order is exactly what is reserved for you.
How often do allocations restock?
Restock timing varies by collection and texture.
Each release is scheduled based on ethical sourcing and quality control, not frequency.
For updates, we recommend
- Joining the email or SMS list
- Watching the collection page for release notices
Can I cancel or change my order during an allocation?
Because allocated units are reserved upon purchase, order changes or cancellations may be limited once processing begins.
Please review our Return & Cancellation Policy before purchasing.
Is allocation the same as pre-order?
No.
Allocation is a controlled inventory release model, not a mass pre-order system. Units are intentionally sourced and released in limited quantities rather than oversold and fulfilled later.
Which collections are allocated?
Allocation applies primarily to:
- Pure Signature Collection
- Raw Collection
Each product page will clearly indicate if an item is allocated.
Why does allocated hair cost more?
Allocated hair reflects:
- Limited sourcing
- Higher quality control
- Longevity
- Consistency across batches
You’re investing in hair that performs long-term—not disposable bundles.
